Sweet Cornbread

My family loves this recipe and gives it a 10 every time I make it. I only wish I knew where I had gotten it, so I could thank the chef.


1 cup butter or margarine
3 cups Bisquick
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup yellow cornmeal
3/4 cup white sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups milk
3 large eggs, beaten


Combine all the dry ingredients in a large bowl.
Melt the butter and stir into the dry ingredients.
Stir in the milk and the eggs.
Pour the batter into a lightly greased 13x9x2 pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
